Celler Cecilio

Celler Cecilio is a small, family-owned winery located in Gratallops, a village in the prestigious Priorat region of Catalonia, Spain. The winery is known for producing the Black Slate Gratallops wine in collaboration with importer Eric Solomon, showcasing the distinctive slate soils (locally known as 'llicorella') that give Priorat wines their mineral character and intensity. Cecilio represents the traditional winemaking approach of the region, focusing on Grenache and Carignan grapes grown on old vines in this challenging mountainous terroir.
