Nemea
Nemea is one of Greece's most important red wine appellations, located in the northeastern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. The region is dominated by the indigenous Agiorgitiko grape variety, which produces wines ranging from fresh, fruity styles to age-worthy, structured reds with notes of red fruits, spice, and smooth tannins. Nemea's varied terroir spans elevations from 250 to 800 meters above sea level, creating distinctive microclimates that influence wine styles, with vineyards planted on slopes surrounding the valley of Nemea.
