Robertson

Robertson is a wine region located in South Africa's Western Cape, approximately 160 km east of Cape Town along the Breede River Valley. Known as the 'Valley of Wine and Roses', it features a semi-arid climate with significant day-night temperature variations that create ideal conditions for quality viticulture, particularly for Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chenin Blanc. Robertson has gained recognition for its outstanding white wines, especially Chardonnay, as well as its sparkling wines produced using the traditional method, though it also produces quality red varieties including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinotage.
