Niederösterreich
Niederösterreich (Lower Austria) is Austria's largest wine region, situated in the northeast of the country along the Danube River. The region features diverse terroir across its eight distinct subregions, with Grüner Veltliner being the signature grape variety, alongside Riesling, Zweigelt, and international varieties. Niederösterreich produces primarily crisp, mineral-driven white wines, with the Wachau, Kremstal, and Kamptal subregions particularly renowned for premium quality whites that express their unique terroir.
