Marche

Marche is a wine region located along Italy's eastern coast on the Adriatic Sea, nestled between the Apennine Mountains and the sea, creating diverse microclimates ideal for viticulture. The region is best known for its white wines, particularly those made from the Verdicchio grape, which produces the renowned Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Verdicchio di Matelica DOCs, while also producing quality reds from Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes, especially in the Rosso Conero and Rosso Piceno appellations.
