Jerez
Jerez, located in southwestern Spain's Andalusia region, is world-famous for its production of Sherry (Jerez in Spanish), a fortified wine aged through a unique solera system. The region benefits from a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influences and chalky albariza soil, perfectly suited for the Palomino, Pedro Ximénez, and Moscatel grapes that produce styles ranging from bone-dry Fino and Manzanilla to sweet Pedro Ximénez. Jerez's distinctive winemaking methods include fortification and biological or oxidative aging under flor yeast, creating complex wines with exceptional aging potential.
