Gascony

Gascony is a historic wine region in southwest France, stretching from the Atlantic coast eastward to Toulouse, known for producing crisp white wines, fruity rosés, and distinctive Armagnac brandy. The region benefits from a moderate maritime climate with warm summers and mild winters, with key grape varieties including Colombard, Ugni Blanc, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, and Tannat. While often overlooked compared to more famous French wine regions, Gascony has gained recognition for offering exceptional value wines with bright acidity, particularly its aromatic whites that display citrus and tropical fruit notes.
